Representative Jodi Whitted, DSW is serving her first term in the Ohio House of Representatives, for Ohio’s 28th House District.
As a social worker with both a Bachelors and Masters degree in social work, Rep. Whitted has dedicated her life to serving others. Her early career was spent working with children and families to strengthen bonds, address trauma, and develop health coping and communication. After transitioning to work in the medical field with individuals with chronic health conditions, Rep. Whitted further recognized the importance of education and policy, specifically how it directly impacts people in their day-to-day lives.
Rep. Whitted is an assistant professor on the Educator Track at the University of Cincinnati and serves as the Bachelor of Social Work -Distance Learning program director.
Rep. Whitted is an active member in her Madeira community. She has been involved in the grassroots Madeira Equity Collective. She was also active in the Madeira City Council Inclusion Committee from 2020-2022 where she was instrumental in the planning of Madeira’s first ever PRIDE event. She is passionate about enacting change on a local and state level and believes that this is where the most impactful change is made in our day-to-day lives.
Rep. Whitted enjoys running, ice cream, and reading. She and her husband are proud parents of two girls.
